Urania, a Carpio resident who works with the adolescent girls, and her family looking through the fence to find out what a Pinewood Derby is. Posted by Picasa

This is the first time the boys had heard about a Pinewood Derby. Here they're in line to get their kit. The team brought 85 kits in addition to the track and 2 Dremmel tools that came in very handy. The boys loved using the Dremmel Tools. Posted by Picasa

How can an ex-Royal Ranger not want to help with the Pinewood Derby? Chandler came to work with CFC in the Summer and is now back home attending college. Posted by Picasa

Joe, a volunteer with CFC, choking Geovanny and Kevin just wants to be in the picture. Posted by Picasa

One of the older boys whittling his car. Posted by Picasa

Adam, volunteering with CFC, was helping Carlos. I was helping with the Dremmel tool and if you notice my arm full of sawdust, likewise was the rest of me. Posted by Picasa

Some of the boys brought their own knife to whittle their cars. How do you like the blade they're using? (between the cars) Posted by Picasa

Kevin shows off his car. Posted by Picasa

Cristian was so much into making his car that he didn't race it. Posted by Picasa

Gustavo (white T-shirt) is the Director of Nuevos Horizontes. A ministry for boys in La Carpio. He was very thankful for the work the team did and the blessing this was for the boys. Posted by Picasa

The team provided the food for the group and Carmen prepared it and served it. Rice with chicken, salad, chips, drink...Delicious!!! Lisbeth is helping serve the drinks. Posted by Picasa

Hard work makes for a hungry boy. They were ready to eat. Posted by Picasa

Lorena and her daughter, Isis, also helped in preparing and serving the food. Hmmm....it looks as if Greivin, Asst. Director, is trying to get more chips. Posted by Picasa

Success.... a chip, a smiling face. Posted by Picasa

Katie and Joy help the boys with the paint. Posted by Picasa

Tough guy and proud of his creation. Posted by Picasa
